I've made an installer available for Disk Cleaner 1.6.1273, which includes plug-ins that are Vista compatible. Therefore, for Vista, this is now the recommended method for installing Disk Cleaner. Click here to download the installer, or go to the download page.

Just like the previous test version (RC1), the application does not come with an installer, nor are there any text plug-in files (.dct files) included. Simply downloading and running the application suffices for a quick test.
26 Aug 2009: Disk Cleaner for XP/Vista/Windows 7 available - version 1.6.1168
It's been over a year since the last update, but now a thoroughly rewritten version of Disk Cleaner is available for testing purposes. This version (1.6.1168) is rewritten from scratch with Vista and Windows 7 compatibility in mind, and comes with an updated - but still simple - user interface. Focus of the application hasn't changed: fast, small and simple. But, with the focus now on Windows XP/Vista/7, support for Windows 95/98 and ME has been dropped.
The application does not come with an installer, nor are there any text plug-in files (.dct files) included. This version has various plug-ins built into the executable for cleaning the cache of the most common browsers. Therefore, simply downloading and running the application suffices for a quick test.
The large list of plug-ins included with version 1.5.7 still needs to be thoroughly checked for Vista/Windows 7 compatibility issues, which is on my to-do list. As soon as that's done, a full-featured installer will be made available as well.

So, after a very long time, Paul from the forums got inspired by the lack of progress from my side and updated the installer with new plug-ins, and revising some existing. So thank you Paul! And, thank you who posted their plug-ins on the forum. 8 Feb 2008: Disk Cleaner updated
